Hi,
Go into the soundcard properties and in playback and recording, disable all
effects, and uncheck exclusive mode.

Subject: [access-uk] Speech problem on a new laptop
Hi all,
I have a problem with a new Dell XPS 15.6 inch laptop that Jaws speech is very
distorted and crackling. This happens with both Eloquence and Vocaliser. It is
not an issue of faulty speakers as the same happens with headphones too. This
problem comes and goes but it is on most of the time.
Anyone has any ideas on what to check or do please? I have updated the
soundcard drivers but no luck.
