Jim, I read, or heard somewhere, that this Solutions Radio costs
around £300.  As far as I know, there isn't a UK distributer as yet.

Whether RNIB have serious plans for using this device themselves I
don't know, but they're said to be 'evaluating' it.  I believe TNAUK
maybe showing interest too.

Just as a final comment, it was amusing when someone at RNIB seemed to
be muzing that they weren't certain what was the best way of
contacting members and customers quickly in the recent mess-up over
the Talking Book library, not helped by the postal strike.  Hardly
needs pointing out that the majority of the TB membership aren't
computer users, so email's out.  So, enter a device like this?

Don't know the answer.    Just a speculation.
