Yes, I'm a bit surprised really. If that was me developing Skype I'd test that functionality on at least two machines, even if one or more are virtual, and won't release it until I'm confident it works.

Hi Steve.

To be honest, I hardly use Skype anyway, so it really isn't a big issue. Plus, if Skype can't get something like that right in a gold release, it says a lot for their development standards. After all, that's what alpha and beta stages are for; To squash them dam bugs *smile*.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim,

I haven't. It's simple to cose it. Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get to task manager,
go to Processes tab and look for Skype. Alt-E to end process and it's
closed. A little thing like that isn't going to make me downgrade, the
audio is so much better.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve.

Same here, I've now downgraded back to 3.8 until a fix for this problem is
found.

Hi Peter,

Yes, I can confirm this odd behaviour with the official Skype. If you try
to
do it, it sends the machine really weird. For example, if I hit the
applications key on the Skype icon, the context menu doesn't seem to open, even though Window-Eyes says it, and from then on, I can't get back to the
desktop, I have to reboot the computer.

Really odd.

All the best

Steve

I installed the official release of Skype 4.1 yesterday having been
running
the beta for a few weeks without any problems. My problem with 4.1 is that

I

am unable to quit Skype from the system tray. Is anyone else noticing
this?
