How much memory have you left on your iPhone, Amro? My gut instinct is that
there isn't quite enough to run the enhanced Siri voice, so it defaults to the
un-enhanced. If you're nearly maxed out, try deleting an app or two and see if
that sorts it.
Cheers
Barry

Subject: [access-uk] Siri is taking coffee breaks
Hi all,
Sorry about the title but thought that would draw your attention.
Before I go through the hassle of reinstalling my iPhone’s software I thought
I’d check if anyone else is having this below oddity or a similar one.
I use Siri female UK as my VoiceOver voice. Since installing iOS 13.4.1, Siri
voice has twice disappeared at random and was replaced by the default voice of
VoiceOver. The disappearance lasts for a short while, and then Siri female
voice comes back online at will! And no, a soft reset doesn’t solve the
problem; I can only sit tight until Siri finishes her coffee break and comes
back on.
So, my question is, has anyone seen a similar behaviour on their iPhone?
I’m trying to figure out if this is the doing of the new version of iOS and I
just need to wait for the next update, or if it is the actual software on my
iPhone that developed a glitch and it needs a fresh software install.
Regards,
Amro
