The USB port or Firewire whichever is used usually for uploading data to the machine rather than to write to it. They are usually included as a convenience for attaching a camcorder or to look at photos on the TV, in general they do not allow you to back the hard drive for example which is a shame but there you go.Regards. As for pen drives, there is no USB port on the machine, so I guess not - Andy----- Original Message ----- From: "Pele West" <pele.west@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 27, 2010 8:47 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Simple review of the Panasonic DVD 769 recorderHi andy and Everyone Thanks for telling us about this DVD Recorder. Would it be possible to use this model to record from a video player and burn the result to a DVD? Also, apart from burning DVDs, is it possible to send the output to, say, a memory pen?
