Hi Debs I just found it aggravatingly slow and not particularly accurate either, least not as accurate and nifty as ReadEasy Move. Still, different animalsI guess. I'm sure the instructions say to keep away from additional light and I found itworked better that way. I didn't like it at all if I am honest! I've found it very useful for "reading" books which weren't available in audio but have to use the stand, as I found it difficult to gauge the right distance between reader and document, which would of course add to the price. it's good as a stand-by if my scanner goes on the blink again but expensive for what it is. You can store documents on it too but I have never bothered. Probably better things out there if I'm honest but others on this list would know better Cheers Debby----- Original Message ----- From: "Saqib" <saqibh23@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 17, 2013 9:14 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: praise for onceHi. How good is this Intel Reader? Is it ok for reading regular mail? I'm looking for a hardware solution but don't want to pay a huge cost for it.At the moment I rent the Accessibility Anywhere package from Serotek but Iwould like to have a hardware solution where it doesn't involve turning the laptop on just to scan a document. On 16 Oct 2013, at 10:10, "Debby McCallan" <debramccallan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>wrote: Couldn't agree more. I went onto the Humanware site to look at a item but wanted more technical details so phoned and got this. I thought while there I may as well order it so went ahead. There was a V A T form for the customer to return but I told the lady Iwas not able to fill this in, to which I was told , no worries as the form would be pre filled in and a raised dot would be near to where I sign, I asked if they used Loc dots and she told me yes. Now that is what I call good thinking and told her. Most companies tell us to get someone to do it for us, but a little thought on their part could make you feel better . Take note other companies.
