Hi Debs

I just found it aggravatingly slow and not particularly accurate either,
least not as accurate and nifty as ReadEasy Move. Still, different animals
I guess.

Easy enough to delete though, but I get what you mean.
It doesn't like having too much information at one time either so could only

do a few pages at a time.
Don't understand the extra light thing from a previous message though. I'm sure the instructions say to keep away from additional light and I found it
worked better that way.

Hi Debs

The problem as well is that it saves everything you scan which, when you
only want to read something on the fly, is a pain. I didn't like it at
all
if I am honest!

Hi
I quite like the Intel Reader but I think it is probably just as fiddly as
using an ordinary scanner and PC/laptop.
I've found it very useful for "reading" books which weren't available in
audio but have to use the stand, as I found it difficult to gauge the
right
distance between reader and document, which would of course add to the
price.
it's good as a stand-by if my scanner goes on the blink again but
expensive

for what it is.
You can store documents on it too but I have never bothered.
Probably better things out there if I'm honest but others on this list
would

know better
Cheers
Debby

Hi. How good is this Intel Reader? Is it ok for reading regular mail? I'm looking for a hardware solution but don't want to pay a huge cost for it.
At the moment I rent the Accessibility Anywhere package from Serotek but
I

would like to have a hardware solution where it doesn't involve turning
the laptop on just to scan a document.

Couldn't agree more.
Having bought a few things from Humanware, I am always impressed by
their

helpfullness and in particular the way they indicate where to sign on
the

VAT form.
I recently needed a replacement cable for my Intel Reader and it was
sent

out the same day and I was only charged delivery costs.
The staff are all so friendly too.

Hello people
If you get the feeling I don't praise very often your dead right as
usually services and companies servicing us don't deserve it.
I went onto the Humanware site to look at a item but wanted more
technical details so phoned and got this.
I thought while there I may as well order it so went ahead.
There was a V A T form for the customer to return but I told the lady
I

was not able to fill this in, to which I was told , no worries as the
form would be pre filled in and a raised dot would be near to where I
sign, I asked if they used Loc dots and she told me yes.
Now that is what I call good thinking and told her.
Most companies tell us to get someone to do it for us, but a little
thought on their part could make you feel better .
Take note other companies.
