Hi.
I always recommend the Cannon range if you're looking for a space saving
scanner for documents. These are USB powered so aren't as fast and
efficient as a mains powered unit would be, but the single connection and
edge stand let you scan either vertically or horizontally and it will
happily perch on the corner of your desk without fuss. I believe these are
still available, the latest one I know of is the CanoScan LiDE420 but it has
been some time since I've used one as I mostly do scanning using my phone
now.
