Just to add to the fix, you also need to turn the auto date update off.

Apparently, this has happened to all treks.  I've had a few phone calls
today asking me whether mine has lost the map, and it has.  No idea why but
I think Humanware's lines will be red hot tomorrow.  I know I'll be one of
the callers.
