Hi everyone,

Thanks again to Ian and Ray for your useful comments.

I spent a good deal of time yesterday, digging around, learning about iPods and similar devices. Brian Hartgen's pages are most informative and I listened to his presentation on the subject.

The one area where I've discovered virtually nothing is regarding capacity. I wonder does anyone know how many hours of MP3 audio will fit into a gigabyte? Files I've downloaded to listen to on my PC seem to take about one megabyte per minute of play time, but I'm not sure whether that is typical or whether such files would be further compressed on a pod.

My next step will be to go somewhere and take a look at some of these devices.

Cheers and thanks again,

Brendan.
