Sounds very nasty. Is it still under warranty?

By the way, Maxtor are now part of Seagate.

Subject: [access-uk] PROBLEMS WITH MAXTOR HARD DRIVE

Hi all,

Whilst networking our computers today and working with my
main C drive, my
Maxtor hard drive suddenly started banging and crashing and
it didn't sound
too nice. I still have power to the drive but it's no
longer showing on my
computer at all, despite reboots, so I suspect it's a
gonner! Is there
anything else I should try, please?

Thanks.
