That did not work for me Carol. I can hear it if I put
it to my ear and I can hear it like a telephone. Now the
batteries are absolutely fine because if it is saying
please select folder or please select file it is loud and
clear.

Use the top and bottom parts of the circular button in
the middle ...
Had me confused once for a few moments ...

Not able to respond to you as I am not sure what model I
have but I want to know how to increase the volume on
mine as it is barely audable. Do not know what I did to
it last night when I was changing the batteries, 2
attempts as both lots were dead, 3 attempts then but I
must have hit something. have have it for years and
never had this problem before. It is absolutely fine
when I play it back on my computer. ----- Original

Subject: [access-uk] Increasing playback speed of files
on DS75

Hi, please could someone tell me where the menu option
is on a DS75 so that
I can toggle the playback speed between slow, normal
and fast when I'm listening to a file? When I press
the play button at the moment nothing happens and the
speed remains normal. I've had a look in the menus but
can't find it anywhere...cheers
