Hi again folksThanks to those of you who responded to my message. I have installed abbyy scan to office and seems pretty good to me, doesn't have an option to auto process though, it asks me to accept the preview scan but that may be a tweek I need to find via my HP software as it is an HP titled window that pops up, but I can't remember this happening with my omnipage pro. I have found a copy of omnipage pro 11 on the internet but as yet can't find my product code.
Thanks again Martin Amro Bilal recently said:-
Over the last two weeks I've been trying ABBYY Scan to office and it is working absolutely fine. It integrates with all office apps including the Word 2003 menus as you described no problems. Unless I am missing something, it is as good as ABBYY Finereader but without the bells and whistles such as PDF conversion. I find it more than sufficient for my personal needs of reading my mail, OCR a paper or two now and then etc, and, It only costs about third the price of ABBYY Finereader. When I came by it I was surprised that this product's name had not come up on list before. Think I am placing an order soon as the trial limit of 15 scans is almost up. I used to use Omnipage pro 11 until recently but after my pc upgrade I couldn't find my cd or product key. I want something that can integrate into ms word 2003 as did omnipage pro, where the file menu had a capture and auto OCR sequence. I don't quite know what is out there nowadays, just want something simple to scan letters and the like. Don't want to pay a fortune but some thing that works easily within winXP or windows 7 with jaws 11 or NVDA if I have to install it Thanks Martin ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** <mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to** <mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
