Many thanks Paul,

You have given me some very helpful hints there. I do have to minute take
quite a lot at meetings, so a quiet keyboard is important.

I will certainly look at Jonathans documentation, thanks again.

Graham,

Feel the need to make a few points in response here.

1. I went for a PK for home use and learnt it completely from cold in a
matter of hours without having to fork out for training! The menu structure
is perfectly intuitive imho, there's an on-board user guide and context
sensitive help at any point within Keysoft. So I don't think the learning
curve is anything like as high as perhaps you might at first think.

2. Having had some experience with both devices, I find that the on-the-fly
Braille translation is considerably more accurate in terms of the agreed
Braille standards on the PK.

3. The PK is considerably smaller and more portable, not requiring
additional devices to be carried around with it if you want fast Braille
access as I personally like. In fact, it has to be said that I've not come
across any decent Braille system as small to date.

4. The PK Braille keyboard is superbly quiet, quieter in fact than anything
I've come across before; it's quite easy to write at high speed in a meeting
without causing any disturbance to colleagues.

As has been stated by others, it is well worth reading Jonathan's response
as he does make some other points which I will not regurgitate here.

Paul.
