Hi Les,

This is a real shame, I have to say.  But I completely understand and
appreciate why you've had to do it.

There are other apps in the same predicament.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] NotNav no more

Today I've had to unpublish the NotNav and NowNav apps from the Android Play
Store and disable billing for these apps in the Cloud Console.  You will no
longer be able to install NotNav/NowNav, and all currently installed apps
will stop working.

I was forced to do this because Google have enabled charging for their
Google Maps API.  This would have cost me $750+ per month. This is
unsustainable. NotNav donations are negligible and few are prepared to pay
£10 for NowNav.

If you've paid for NowNav, feel free to ask Google for a refund, explaining
exactly why you want your money back.

In the four years since I first publish NotNav I believe it have been
genuinely useful to some. Its a shame that Google's greed has finally killed
it off.
