Alasdair,
Despite my initial problem, I think that the inclusions of the two functions in 
a single program 
is an excellent idea, and I would not rush into abandoning it.   And when the 
final release has 
its own "Manual" everything should be quite clear.

It may be imagination, but I have felt that the sound quality may be somewhat 
better than with 
the old Listen Again - and it is certainly more responsive.

Just hope that the bBC do not make even more changes to "break" your code!
