Steve, you think Lucy is great? Hmmm! well whatever does it for you I guess. (chuckle.)
It's what you get used to using I suppose, and while there may be positive features of Mobile Speak like Braille support etc, give me TALKS every time. I was just interested in its rival, and to see how it compared.

Hi Jackie, Have you tried the Acapela voices with Mobile Speak? Lucy is great. All the best Steve -----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf OfJackie Cairns Sent: Monday 10 March 2008 17:42 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Mobile SpeakWell I have to be completely honest about this and say that, personally, thevoices on Mobile Speak are horrendous. It is like going back 12 years or more to very synthetic speech it is so primitive. I just can't stand them at all. I realise it's down to the individual, but blimey I thought thespeech on the Owasys phone was bad enough. These voices don't even say someof the menu applications or networks properly. I know Eloquence isn't everyone's cup of tea, but at least it's perfectly understandable. (smile) Long live TALKS and all who phone with her ... or him! This is, in fact, why I prefer Talks over MobileSpeak as I'mhard of hearing and I find Eloquence to be just right for hard of hearingpeople. Yes Lequendo is nice, but since I've used Eloquence for over 10 years I'm so used to it that I tend to refuse to listen to other voices. Hope that helps. Jackie Cairns wrote:Hi All I've downloaded a demo version of Mobile Speak, and am beginning to have a mess around with it, just to see how it compares to my beloved TALKS.But, so far, I hate the voices that come with it. I mean, you wouldn'twant to lust after any of them would you? (smile.) Anyway, is there an Eloquence voice that can be run on Mobile Speak like there is with TALKS? Please tell me there is!! (grin.) I'm not saying you would wantto lust after Eloquence either but ... it's better than these other ladsand lassies. I am running this software on a phone that doesn't have TALKS installed, just to be on the safe side, so any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance good people.
