Hi William;

Just ensure that you're logging in to the account you really think  you
are, and not a local or admin account.

Assuming you haven't accidentally got caps lock on, as suggested on the
login screen, you can visit https://account.live.com/password/reset from
another computer to reset the password.
As you are posting an email, it suggests you have access so you should be
OK to do that.
