Does your credit card company offer an internet based payment option? If so, you might try paying your credit card bill that way. For a time, I hadn't telephone service. I employed my credit card internet payment option. To pay my credit card bill.

Hi Steve
What I mean is using my debit card to make a payment off my Sainsburys credit card bill over the phone by reading my debit card details to a member of staff. hence why I am trying to find out the names of Credit Card providers who offer this service to their visually impaired customers.
Sainsburys have now stopped this and this can only be achieved via their automated telephone service.
I do not have any problems using my credit card to purchase goods over the phone.

Best wishes
Henry

Hi Henry,

What do you mean by make a payment over the phone? Do you mean to pay the credit card bill?

If for example, you ring me, you can pay by credit card, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

All the best

Steve

Morning Folks
Briefly, since earlier this year, owing to the introduction of an new IVR system, Sainsburys have stopped allowing myself and other customers to make a direct payment to their Sainsburys credit card over the phone by speaking to a human being.
To access this new automated telephone system I have to key in my 16 digits credit card details and I am not being allowed sufficient time to do this and end up in a never ending cycle.

I would like to ask other list members could they tell me the names of their Credit card providers which allow them to make a payment over the phone?

Thanking you in anticipation
Henry
