Hi ~Steve

The reason why I went for Joikuspot over Walking Hotspot is because it
supports VPN, which I will need to use away from home like I do at home.
I've also heard that Walking Hotspot is much slower to connect, but I
can't confirm this either way. I guess whatever works for you is fine
eh?

Hi Jackie,

I prefer Walking Hotspot. The web site is accessible, their support is
excellent, and I wouldn't go any other way now.

All the best

Steve

They knew about Joikuspot Chris, but not how much it would cost me to
use it!! I'll find out eventually, but just wondered if anyone knew
roughly offhand, and what they thought of the software.

I would just add that I downloaded it from www.symbiangear.com In the
end as the Joikuspot website was a real pain to get it to add the
software to the shopping basket. Under no circumstances could I click
on the button, so I searched for an alternative site from which to make
the purchase.

I believe this program uses your carrier's GPRS/3G connection via wifi,
so it would cost standard GPRS/3G rates. Vodafone probably doesn't know
because they've never heard of such software.

Subject: [access-uk] Joikuspot

Hi all

I purchased and downloaded Joikuspot for my N82 phone yesterday. This
is similar to the Walking Hotspot software that has been mentioned on
this list recently. So far, it looks an interesting piece of kit. I
want to be able to use it in conjunction with my Netbook when away from
home. But I'm wondering what the phone rates are with Vodafone as, when
I contacted them, they didn't seem to know!!

Has anyone used Joikuspot and, if so, what has cost been like?

Thanks.
