That's right, Freedom Scientific has abandoned the idea that demo copies of JAWS time out after 6 months, and instead allows us to run JAWS as a demo right out of the box, so to speak. What you do, in the activation dialogue box, is to first check the don't show me this dialogue again check box, then click the run as demo button. From then onwards each time you run JAWS in 40 minute mode it will remind you that the demo mode has been activated and to update the authorization from within the JAWS help menu.

Don't the demo versions of jaws 10.0 not time out anymore? I seem to remember reading that a while back.

Cheers,

Doris

There is an expiry date, but that depends on how current the CD demo
copy is. Suffice to say it will be long enough to evaluate it and
runs into many months. This is not just to limit usage, but to avoid
old versions staying in circulation which could be assumed to be
current.

However, once purchased and fully activated, there is no time limit.
It will run for a lifetime.

I know that George. What I want to know is if this can only happen 30
times and then will Jaws stop working all together?
