Hi all - Thanks to all that gave me feedback regarding the Zenstone players, and to Andy for his offer. I understand they can be charged using a USB cable, am I right to think that the cable will be unique to the Zen Stone? I find that the minin USB cables I have for 2 mobile phones are quite different, and not interchangeable! I'm wondering then if I want to charge the Zen Stone away from a PC, if I'll have to buy yet another wall plug to mini USB cable; seem to be aquiring quite a lot of these things recently <smile> - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, August 29, 2008 1:18 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Ipod or mp3 recommendations please | Hi Andy. | | I own five Zenstone mp3 players. I've distributed them amongst friends in | my community, mostly elderly, and furnish them with books, movies and music, | and everyone finks them fantastic. | | | I'm actually listening to a book at this moment, which I started last night. | Occasionally, I have to turn the device off, to attend to other things, but | when I return, often after a couple of ours, the book or movie is opened at | the space in which I closed it. | | | | There are a couple of Zenstone players. I have four 1 gb players and one 2 | gb player, which happens to have two little round speakers on it. This cost | about £39 and the 1 GB cost about £29, but all are fabulous machines. I can | send you one to try out for a week or so if you are afraid to make a | purchase, so Andy just let me know and I'd be pleased to let you have a go | with one. | I'd recommend the Zenstone as it's so simple and of course all you need to | do to charge it up is plug it into your computer. | A few weeks ago Steve advised me that his personal MP3 player had 30 gb of | memory and although I felt a little jealous, I realized that his device was | probably much more bulky and required batteries, whereas the Zenstone is as | small as a slice of chocolate. | | you can even pick them up second hand on the Re-Cycle list, as I've done in | the past, for about £15.00, so I'd really recommend you look at this player | and give it a go. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. | | Very best wishes. | | Andy. | | | | | | The ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> | To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2008 8:21 PM | Subject: [access-uk] Re: Ipod or mp3 recommendations please | | | > Hi Steve - so then, is it only the Ipods with Itunes that retains the | > place | > in mp3 files?
