not even sure Landmarks is an option Graham. I thought I'd play with it
before buying anything else. It's not doing so well so far but I've not
tried much.

I am probably going to get the Wayfinder demo. Like you, Trekker appeals,
but the expense and the fact that you seem to have to wear the thing, is
rather offputting. Plus I don't want to carry around lots of electronic
gizmos in my pockets.

I've been reading lots of stuff about Loadstone though and how it can be
extremely useful probably on routes you already know ... I like the idea
that you can just keep yor mobile in your pocket and be alerted by a
vibration when you get close to your front door, for instanfce, or to the
pub that your mate texted a Point of Interest to your phone about.

Sadly I have the Nokia N73 which you can't use Loadstone on ... but they are
developing a version of it for the symbian third series of which Nokia N73
and N91 are a part, for instance.

But the Nokia N95 has a built in GPS receiver I believe. Plus a bit of
software called Maps? Anyone want to shed light on this? For a premium price
you can have it talk says the bumph - aimed mainly at sighted users here I'd
imagine. I wonder if Talks will work on it?
