Hi Pele

Don't worry, your formula worked for me. Thanks. It is
always hard understanding something if you haven't done it
before. Take care.

Regards

Adrien

Hi Adrien

I am not sure I understand your question. If you put the
formula in C139 using $b$138 as your starting point, it
should work.

If, at the start of each month, you put a formula in, say
Column D, you should be able to total the figures for that
month. For example, suppose your figures for June started
in Column B400. When you entered the
second amount in Column B401 put a formula in D401:

=sum($d$400:d401)

and copy it to all the rows for that month.

I don't know if there is a list of useful formulae anywhere.
I spend quite a lot of time using Google to find out what I
want to know.

Pele
