Oh! How strange, I use that function all the time in Windows 10, I have never
needed to install anything else.  I wonder why this is missing in your copies?

Like John after checking I found that the the Extract function in the context
menu which was present in Windows 7 appears to have disappeared in my copy of
Windows 10.

This is not an issue for me personally as I use 7 zip from the context menu to
do the same job but I can confirm John’s observation here at least that the
extract option has disappeared using the app key or  shift F10 options  on my
system.

The workaround would be to install 7 zip from www.ninite.com

Hi John

Easy, just highlight the zip folder you want to extract, bring up the

Context Menu, arrow down to Extract All and press enter, then tab to Extract

button.

Job done!

Subject: [access-uk] Extracting files in Windows 10

Hi

Extracting files in Windows 7 used to be really easy, but in Windows

10 it seems to be a real pain. Does anyone have any tips as I haven't

actually managed to unzip a file in Windows 10 yet?!

Any help welcome, John
