Hi Keith,
Having done what sound like the same searches you have, I
get the following:
./get_iplayer --type=radio pills
get_iplayer v3.13, Copyright (C) 2008-2010 Phil Lewis
This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details use
--warranty.
This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it under
certain
conditions; use --conditions for details.
Matches:

Note, I am able to download this
./get_iplayer --type=radio slip

Is this what you're getting? It sounds like neither fits with your
experience, where you get no programs on the first search, I get one, where
you get three programs on the second, I get one. If I may ask, have you
refreshed the index manually?
get_iplayer --refresh --type=all
If you have everything you want from before last week, it
may be worth starting fresh. I am using a fresh cache for these results.

Hi Aman,
Thanks for replying.
I have now updated get_iplayer to 3.13.0, but am still not able to acquire
programmes from last week.
One example was on 4X last Friday and was called Brandreth's Pills.
When asking get_iplayer to get this programme it tells me no programmes are
available.
Similarly, when asking for Many a Slip, I am told there are three programmes
in history, and, again, last's week's isn't availsable.
What, I wonder, can I be doing wrong? All worked beautifully till last week.
With best wishes,
Keith Clydesdale

Hi,
If you're running the program on Windows and are, in fact,
using 3.00, you may just want to type
Get underscore iplayer space dash dash update
Note that I have spelled this out for screen readers above, the actual
command line is
Get_iplayer --update
Into the command line. This should update the program to the latest version.
Not having the error message that you're getting, it's difficult to say that
this will solve your problem, but it is certainly worth upgrading as a new
version has just been released. If you want to install using the installer,
which you can do without removing the previous version, see
https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer/wiki/windows
for the link and instructions.
Note that if you're on Linux, the get-iplayer in most
package managers is seriously out of date and won't work.

Hi All,
I'm experiencing a new problem with get_iplayer.
I'm not able to acquire any programmes during the previous week.
Amro, you've helped me in the past with this excellent programme. Can you,
or anyone, offer any assistance this time, please?
I'd be grateful to have the web site and where on that site to download the
latest version of get_iplayer. I think I'm currently using 3.00.
With many thanks.
Best wishes,
Keith Clydesdale
