As Steve has intimated, you can speed up search entries by pressing the said
letter or digit, followed by a press of the right arrow, to make input faster.
Personally I think this is bonkers, but hey-ho, it works!
I agree, the text file is poor, and there is currently no other manual which is
why some things are taking much longer to ascertain than they would if we had a
comprehensive set of instructions. I appreciate Steve wants to get the players
out to people, but some people are going to have a bit of difficulty without a
decent manual to read that's for sure, the device doesn't have one built into
it from what I can gather. I believe MysticAccess is producing one, but you
have to pay for it, and I personally don't see why you should have to buy
documentation when you've just spent £300 or $300 for a specialist device. I
know I sound grumpy, but you should really have a manual over and above the
text file Steve supplied which is very poorly written and translated. I know
Steve is working on this so I'm not being critical, just honest.
As for podcasts, one of my favourites is Jonathan Mosen's Mosen At Large weekly
offering, but while I've found it by typing in a search on the Evo12, it only
shows three episodes between 148 and 150 inclusive, and there are over 180, so
I'm not sure what's going on with that search. I wonder what database it uses?
It is a new device so there are bound to be a few gripes here and there.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, text input is painfully slow and it would help
to hear other words for letters. As for internet radio and podcasts, do you
still have to search for them on the computer or can you do this on the E12?
The quick start guide isn't too helpful with this.
Is there a better version of the manual than the quick start file? It has been
poorly translated and difficult to understand.
One big surprise in the box is the lovely furry travel case, perfect for
protecting the player when out and about.
