They do, but from what you describe, it sounds more like a suspect lid
switch rather than a dud card. When you say "right back to the wall",
do you mean "perpendicular to the keyboard" - vertical?

The screen on my toshiba laptop has gone all wavy and
flickers and won't light up properly, when I open the lid up
I have to push the lid right back to the wall to get the
screen to come on. Is this likely to be the graphics card
and can they be replaced and are they expensive?
