Hi Wendy,
I haven't used DVD Audio Extractor but I would imagine it's for ripping the
soundtrack from the DVD rather than just playing it.
Power DVD, Windows Media Player and even Winamp should all play the DVD for
you.

I have tried Power DVD.
What I do with DVD Audio Extractor is launch the program, then put the DVD
into the drive, then press the refresh button, then press play. Pressing
play several times only gets the introductory little tune.
I have JAWS 6 and XP Home.
