Hi,BBc already does get most of its income from commercial activity such as sales of programmes, Videos, CD's etc, it also owns a commercial audiobooks company formerly called Chivers audiobook collection [now called BBC books.] It's argument about not wanting to get it's income from advertising doesn't hold water as it is part owner of the UKTV organisation which derives its income from advertising.
Let me make this clear; this is a campaign against an illegal charge imposed on everyone who wants to operate a TV even if they don't want to access bBC's output, it is Not an anti-BBC campaign. They do a great job but this is to all intents and purposes stolen money.. I go further into this and the fact that it constitutes illegal state aid in the report I've prepared.
I won't go further into it here until I've got permission to do so by the moderator, but if that's given I'll be happy to answer all questions and send out the text of my report plus legislation [both UK and EU] to prove my case.
Hope this helps. Tel; 01495309485 Internet phone; 02921112813 Mobile; 07981529856 Fax; 08712642336 Email: keith.a.jones@xxxxxxxxxx----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Hornby" <derek.hornby_uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Do you think BBC is better run as PPLC company rather than state owned. And to get back on topic, would access to service be better if the state didnot own the BBC Regards, Derek ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq -- No virus found in this incoming message.
