Can those of you who are able to connect to the website find out what numeric ip you get for the site and post it here, please?. i still cannot connect from my end either If we have the numeric ip, we can use that instead of the website address until our isp's dns servers get caught up.

.

thanks much.

Doris

It looks like a dns problem ( ie how it reconciles the name blindmeice
to an ip address number ) . If i try to connect to the site i get
the error but if i use the isup.me website to check if it us
up for anyone else and not just me it reports that it is available.

To flush the DNS value in windows ;
Open a command window and use;
ipconfig /flushdns

In OSX;
dscacheutil -flushcache

Colin,

If you have contact with the website could you send them a
message stating that several people in this country are
having difficulty in accessing their site. They can then
check things out at their end.

Just a suggestion.

Hi everyone,

Sorry to cause even more confusion, but I am still having no
difficulty
accessing the webpage. In fact the site is so current that
new content in
the form of the latest film addition is showing for 13
February.

I'm using JFW 5.1 IE 8 and my ISP is BT.

They did say on their website that they were building a
new one. Perhaps
they've done it and moved. I would have thought they'd
have left a link to
their new one though.

I'm no expert, but I'm guessing the same would happen if
their server was
down. Strangely it's not as if it just comes up with the
page cannot be
displayed. I find IE just sits there saying it's waiting
for a response.

Subject: [access-uk] Blind Mice Update

Hi,
My nephew sent me the following email this morning.

Google stores web sites pages so I checked google last
night and the

last time that the blind mice site was available was the
9 Feb. After

that date google has only inaccessible pages. So
something happened on

Wednesday of last week. Google chrome browser reported
that the site had

probably permanently moved. The messages from the site
changed during

the evening yesterday. I think that the site has probably
moved and may

no longer exist at that address. If someone else gave you
the blind mice

address in the first place then is it possible to contact
whoever gave

you the link to blind mice asking if they know what's
happened to it?

All the best
Mo
