Hi George,

I agree, and if I find a solution, you and the list will be the first to
know.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,

I appreciate that, but the solution is not to suggest everyone moves to
Thunderbird or elsewhere - other than another list perhaps!!

There has to be a reason, but it's like finding a needle in a cornfield,
never mind a haystack.

Hi George,

I wasn't complaining, I was merely saying that I think it is an encoding
issue with these blank messages, and it seems that Outlook may be a culprit.
I think I can read them in Thunderbird usually.

All the best

Steve

Steve,

I'm reaching the end of my tether with this and have wasted the better part
of the morning trying to research this.

With so many unhappy people one way or the other, unless someone comes up
with a suggestion which can be tested, I'm very tempted to simply close the
list down and let someone else start the perfect list for all.

George

Hi George,

Sorry, no dice.  I don't use the Nod32 Add-In, I always disable it, but I
still get blanks from you and others, but only on this list.

I think it is definitely an encoding issue.

All the best

Steve

Although the following mentions "Exchange Server", it may be that your ISP
is using this.

Worth a try at least.

Email messages with the body of the email missing/blank as well as messages
that are returned as undeliverable without a header are symptom of a known
issue with two commonly used antivirus products:
*AVG
*NOD32

I've been trying to establish why some are receiving blank messages.

Assuming you get this, and ONLY if you have received such messages, could
you please advise if you are using AVG for your virus protection?

Please don't reply unless this is the case.

And let's hope this plain text message isn't is not one of those which
arrive blank!

George
