not so sure as to the degree of accessibility you will require but i use
clamwin anti virus it is open source and free. and to date it has worked well
for me. i tend to shy away from the commercial products as in some cases they
introduce fake viruses in order to scare you into purchasing their products.

  Hi folks,
Been using AVG on a trial basis and it seems ok but they want £36 for a 1
year licence! whilst not wishing to skimp on something so important I wondered
if anyone had views on byt defender, casperski, symantech etc, all of which
seem a wee bit cheaprer!Accessibility is of course important, any thoughts
would be helpful! I should add I tried the microsoft security essentials but
recently it missed a few nasty worms!

  Thank you!
