Hi Jackie,

As far as I know, Webroot only protects against malware, not viruses. Could
be wrong though.

All the best

Steve

Someone has today recommended Webroot to us, has anyone heard of it, and are
there any accessibility issues?

Kind regards,

I have not tried clamwin on an xp system so cannot give a definitive answer
to that question, my guess is that xp is Not supported due to its age.
windows vista and onwards, you should be fine.

Does clamwin work with windows xp? the reason I ask is because I
installed it last night and when I tried to do a scan, I got the windows
error sound and a message containing a lot of numbers etc. I tried 2
different install methods

not so sure as to the degree of accessibility you will
require but i use clamwin anti virus it is open source and free. and to date
it has worked well for me. i tend to shy away from the commercial products
as in some cases they introduce fake viruses in order to scare you into
purchasing their products.

                        Hi folks,
Been using AVG on a trial basis and it seems ok but
they want £36 for a 1 year licence! whilst not wishing to skimp on something
so important I wondered if anyone had views on byt defender, casperski,
symantech etc, all of which seem a wee bit cheaprer!Accessibility is of
course important, any thoughts would be helpful! I should add I tried the
microsoft security essentials but recently it missed a few nasty worms!

                        Thank you!
