Can we not reproduce Blindsquare on Android?

There is GetThere, NotNav/NowNav, Nearby Explorer Online, I think most
functionality is there.  I haven't used Blindsquare in years.

Hi. My suggestion is to try Android before you make your decision. Android
is accessible as IOS and the only reason I still have an iPhone is because
of the BlindSquare app. I also find that dictation works far better for me
on Android.

But as an Android user, I would say to you that if you are used to the iOS
ecosystem, there is nothing wrong with you staying there.

I would also say that everything you want to do, can easily be done on
Android.  In fact, I can't think of anything that an Apple user can do that
I can't, except to use the Seeing AI app, which is only because it's not on
Android yet.

If you are interested in Braille, then Android is weaker than iOS,
although it is getting better.

I would say now though that Android is as good as iOS for accessibility.
The choice of which to use is not about accessibility, it's about lifestyle
choice, IE, we have the same choice as a sighted person.  To me that's

Hi all,

My contract with O2 is about to finish and I'm looking at what new phone I
get.  I've had an iPhone since they first came out and am well used to using
them and Voiceover however I know that android accessibility has come a long
way in the pst few yers.  So my genuine question is what would I gain / lose
if I switched to an android phone and if so what particular models do people
have experience of using?

In terms of what I do on my iphone it's the usual mail, web browsing, FB,
twitter, banking etc.  I don't use applemusic as I have spotify but I do
also use the Netflix ap.

I await genuine feedback.
