Formatting is a good idea, but it should really have the Operating
system it was supplied with re-installed. It it's a Toshiba, there's a
good chance it was an OEM version of Windows anyway, so legally it
must stay with that hardware.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Advice on selling a laptop please

Hi

I have a toshiba laptop, it is in good working order. I want to sell
it but I'm not sure of the legalities of selling it with licensed
software on it. I want to format it in any case to get rid of all
traces of my personal software and hal etc. I will put windows xp on
it but I won't supply the license key, is this ok? Or how should I go
about this? I'll supply the driver cd's etc. your thoughts and tips
please.

Regards

Adrien
