Have a look then at the Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook P7120. Only 1.3KG I
believe, and a lovely little laptop. I have the 7110, and I love it, same
weight as well.

Thanks for your replies about Advent laptops. The spec of your Compaq,
Chris, sounds very similar to the Advent. Could you let me know how large
the screen is? What attracted me to the Advent was its decent spec combined
with only a 12.1-inch screen, plus it only weighs 1.9 kg. I am looking for
a small and light laptop but with a decent specification, so if your Compaq
is also fairly small and light, it would be worth considering as well.
Jackie, I presume your HP must be quite large if it has a numeric keypad.
That does sound a useful feature, but I think I might be prepared to do
without it if it adds a lot to the overall size.

Hi, don't bother. I've not experienced them myself, but as they're not as
popular as, say, Compaq, I wouldn't trust them. Go for a Compaq one instead.
I have one, and it runs Vista Home Premium, has a dual core processor, 2 GB
RAM, 160 GB hard drive, thus making it a very snappy laptop. Hope that
