Assuming you use the 24 hour clock it is simply a matter of subtracting the
start time from the end time to detrimin how many hours worked.

In E9 you would put;
=(d9-c9)

If you try and use the 12 hour clock with am and pm then I have no idea what
horrible contortions you would need to go through to try and work it out.

Subject: [access-uk] AN EXCEL FORMULA PROBLEM

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what to write as my formula, please!

I have an employee who (for example) on a particular day starts work at 10
AM and works through to 2 PM so Start Time is in column C9 and End Time in
D9, with the result of hours in E9.

I've looked at HELP and still can't get the formula right.

Any help most welcome.  Thanks!
