Good Afternoon List

I have been silent up to now, but I'm sure Howard is going to voice his
opinion for all of us, including myself, until he receives his monetary
donation from ILA. .

What obvious fact you fail to miss Howard is that the South African Council
of The Blind, ultimately, had the final say in any of these Braillers being
purchased by Maxi Aids. Sure, Maxi Aids had the opportunity to purchase
these Braillers for less money than anyone in the United States, but South
Africa was agreeing to financially be compensated for their production and
labor cost. Not only were they willingly processing each purchase, but they
were also being subsidized by both Hal Press and the Hilton Corperation.
The moneys South Africa was receiving would certainly benefit these students
far more than extra Braillers for them to use. Would you think Hal Press
would have volunteered to contribute their moneys toward the South African
Council, unless they had a nice tax shelter to hide their profits. Hal
Press was just angry because Maxi Aids was the only company able to import
their already overpriced Braillers, and sell them to those who needed them
for a lesser cost than Hal Press was already selling them in the U. S..

What you also fail to realize Howard, is Hal Press has and continues to
place orders with Maxi Aids for these same Braillers. I guess Hal Press
doesn't mind saving a few dollars for their customers, whom they also resell
to at retail pricing. Maxi Aids continues to offer discounted pricing to
any rehabilitation agency and educational institution, who is in the
business of improving the quality of life for all its students with Special
Needs. I'm sure you'll notice that, overall, Maxi Aids, while saving itself
money on its international purchasing, still continues to offer its
customers the lowest prices on their products.

It's not like you have to investigate the business practices of McDonald's
vs. Burger King before buying a burger, but if there was some well known
fact about either or company you should heed the warning. What if one of
the for mentioned companies mixed horse meat or something similar in their
burgers and sold them at half the price of the competitor? I guess it would
be in your best interest to buy whatever is cheaper.

I know this isn't a direct correlation with Maxi-Aids, but it does show that
some people just don't care no matter what facts are put before them.

Funny thing about ILA too. A while back someone posted here a test website
that you could save some percentage off by ordering through it. I'm sure I
thought it would be a good idea if ILA was added to your website and as of
this morning it's still not there and my guess is that it probably never
will.

I guess if the staff of Maxi-Aids was grilling babies in public it would be
OK with you too.

But as the old saying goes, birds of a feather.
