Try reapplying Service Pack 4 from CD or network. That solved the problem for one of my users. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this happen, where you can't download updates after it starts trying to scan the computer to see what updates it needs to download. -----Original Message----- From: Costanzo, Ray [mailto:rcostanzo@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, November 07, 2003 3:20 PM To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: User not able to download Windows Updates from Microsoft's website Define "cannot." Do the users get an error? Ray at work -----Original Message----- From: Martin, Eddie [mailto:EMartin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] I have a user running Windows 2000 that cannot download updates from Microsoft's website. I heard it may have something to do with Microsoft outsourcing their update server traffic to akamai or something like that. Any ideas? **************************************************************************** ****************************** The information contained in this e-mail message is intended only for the personal and confidential use of the recipient(s) named above.
