[windows2000] Printer IP address assignment

We are implementing a new Windows 2003 print server as part of a migration
from Novell Netware. Whilst we are configuring the printer objects and IP
ports, we would also like to standardise the configuration of our network
printers (all are HP models). At present, some of these printers have been
set up using a locally configured fixed IP address and some via a DHCP
reservation - any thoughts on preferred methods or best practice?

Thanks in advance
