What exactly is the drive doing? If it's doing the "Kerchunk Kerchunk Kerchunk" thing(I'm sure we've all heard that before.) I have had very good luck with finding and IDENTICAL drive, and swapping the controllers from the two drives. It has been my experiance that when the kerchunk happens, it it USUALLY the controller. I have saved alot of data through this little guerrilla tactic. Not for the faint of heart though. John Parker, MCSE IS Admin. Senior Technical Specialist Digital Display Systems. I work on my own in a 'little cupboard' and the only thing that keeps me sane(ish) is my music stored on my personal hard disk. 40Gb's worth of sorted and catelogued music. Now no music just loud 'clanking' noises from the hard disk :-( And I know I should of known better but have no backup of it, and it has taken me 3 years to build it up.... aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Thank you I feel better now. ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm
