hi,

if you are behind a router and you wish to set-up your computer to become a shoutcast server, what you need to do is, make a port forwarding from your router to your computer. e.g. if your shoutcast-DNAS have set to port 8000, you will need to forward port 8000 and 8001 to your computer. another thing, please asign a static IP on your computer, you cannot use the auto asign IP feature as the
IP will change each time your computer restart.

Warmest Regards,

Mine's a decline. cause my room mate and I use Jaws. so we have to be in
sepret rooms. I was thinking of going into broad casting. But will it be
harder if you are behind a Router? I'm carrying it!

Hi,

it's actually easier if you don't hav a router.

You set your pwd in the config file that's in the sc folder.

I know these messages are old,
but how does one go about setting up a Shoutcast server vial a dialup
modem
or say if no one has a router and only a DSL modem? I, like Cathy have
been
going round and round with the set-up since December of last year. I got
the
sun of a gun to work, but I can not login to the admin login link. What
user
name does IE want it shows my two email addresses. My former in VA and
now
my Earthlink address. Please help! Me wants to broadcast! Take care.
