Vincent new messages and new e-mail is a function of the phone and not a
function of Talks. When there is a new male when the phone is locked, a sighted
person is also alerted to the new Male. This alert is always present when one
unlocks the phone.

ok Loretta but the steps i gave only mute talks and not the phones profile
for messages also when this is done you can still press the talks key to see
if you have any messages or do any other task such as check time or so on.
hope this helps.

Vincent
