[vi-kindle] KFPC issues; anyone else?

Last night, my KFPC stopped working, couldn't even open it. Have tried all day
to get it back, uninstalled, downloaded ...multiple times. Spent over 2 hours
with Kindle tech support, no joy. then I learned that the old version of the
KFPC expired, and people have to get the new version. Could it be that the
accessibility plug in is attached to an old version, or something? Anyone else
having issues?
Shoshana, exhausted and with a splitting headache, but no KFPC, sigh
