your welcome Karyn. I have moved on to the nylon service dog harness from Bridgeport. I can attach my side bags on it and keep things like my hearing aide batteries, Clyde's seat belt, and some chews for Clyde in them. I can also carry the ID I got from activedogs.com in the widow for it. I know we don't need ID's but it was so much easier when I had Buckley and the program issued an ID for us that I wanted the same thing for Clyde. it has Clyde's picture on it and the ADA, DOT and FAA laws and numbers on the back. I also carry these cards that say the ADA info on them and that if the person questioning has asked for papers or ID then it is against the law. I have noticed that Clyde doesn't like putting a harness on.... I have to say in a firm voice "Clyde come" and he will but I wish he would get into it without problems. I give him a treat when we are done. is there any suggestions on how I can get him to like it?? Clyde is doing better on heeling. he doesn't lag behind that much now. he sits 100% of the time and downs 100%. now we have to start working on stays. class starts on the 17th but if we have a head start then we will be able to pass the CGC the first time through. there has been talk of the Rochester Dog Obedience Club shutting down due to lack of interest in club members. we are a non-profit club and I am a board member . I have helped classes for several years and run the table for sign up and getting people ready for class. this means no more free classes for me if we shut down and the only person around that does clicker training besides the board are $90.00 for a 6 week coarse. to much for me. I only get $650.00 a month and that goes for rent and utilities and food. enough babbling , Ridge and Clyde SDiT ----- Original Message ----- From: bcpaws4me<mailto:bcpaws4me@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: Vi-clicker<mailto:vi-clicker-trainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, January 04, 2008 12:51 PM Subject: (VICT) Harness-Ridge Thankyou I just got the Premier 5 point harness today for Thane. He has been a bit under the weather (runs) so we are not training much now until his tummy settles but I wanted to thankyou for your input on this harness. It really looks like its gonna be the perfect solution- of course adjusting it o na dog who I still have not taught to stand on command is quite the tricky thing... why oh why does he think he should lay down and roll over LOL I'm just being silly by that comment. I got a bunch of other training materials today as well so we hopefully will begin to make progress once his tummy settles better... No more Bully Bites for Thane! Karyn and Thane
