Hello all
I just was looking at the e bird rare bird alerts & the one for Augusta
County at McCormick's Mill up on the Southern end of Augusta County . I was up
at Willow Lake on the 11th of Dec. & on my way back home , I stopped by
the pond & at that time there were several American Wigeon with one hen
that looked like an Eurasian but when I was looking closer to the bill of the
bird I thought that bird had the black line that runs along the mandible &
I just blew it off as an Imm. bird . This is one field mark for American &
not Eurasian . Good Call & great find . This makes species 321 for Augusta
County . Just letting you all know that this bird has been here for a while .
