A friend reported seeing a Eurasian Wigeon on Fri. Dec. 14 in a cove
off the Elizabeth River in Norfolk. It was seen from Surrey
Crescent. To get there going south on Hampton Blvd, cross the river,
then pass the Larchmont Library. A few blocks beyond the Library you
will turn right onto Surrey Crescent. Follow to the cove. Many
different ducks could be seen at the western end of the cove this
afternoon, but it was so windy I had no success in finding the
Wigeon. There is parking all along this crescent. A great place for
Norfolk folks to look for ducks.
