Super. Glad you had a wonderful and memorable time. 10 years ago. Yikes, my
memory is not as good as yours. Owls are just really cool.
I was wondering if everyone saw that a Snowy Owl was seen Jan 22 at the West
Eugene wetlands? Since I just joined, I don’t know if this already circulated.

Hi Janice,
My Wife and I took a BLM Spotted Owl Hike with you and Patrick and Mary
Starnes out in Tyee in 2005. It was interesting, educational, and straight up
and straight down hiking. We remember it was an experience of a lifetime –
holding up the dead mice for the owls to fly over us, and snatch the mice from
our hands. As we remember, you had a really great Spotted Owl vocalization that
you did. It really brought them in. We still have fond memories of that day.

out of my way. Unless you count the time I drove to Bend to see the Hawkowl,
or spent nights near Chiloquin looking for the Flammulated owl. Okay, I guess
I put a little effort into the birding. But probably not as much as some of
you.
I live on North Bank Rd, about 3 miles from I-5. Maybe some of you saw me
recently when I wondered into your group as you were looking at that couple of
Bald Eagles and the Golden.
