The use cases will be particularly helpful in getting the UI designed correctly. The RSS file is a little daunting. It looks like it will take a bit of doing to extract all the various bits of information that are packed in the <description> tag with the <item> jim From: Julie Carwellos Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2010 12:00 PM To: tssg-tech@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tssg-tech] Re: description of RSS format - this time with link Thanks, Jim. Related to that, the UI/Core group has a directory in the TSSG 'Files --> Android Project' area called 'Core' that contains some files we're working with. One is 'RSSitems.rtf' and contains some of the <item> elements in a feed from a few days ago. The 'items' are raw RSS, so some components are not immediately recognizeable, but it's good to know that > means the > character and < means the < character. These would have named tags (e.g. class, div) between them. Tag content is then beween a <tag> </tag> pair. -julie Julie (Dingee) Carwellos Web and IT Project Analyst, User Experience and Interaction Designer LinkedIn - http://www.linkedin.com/in/jdingeecarwellos --- On Thu, 9/23/10, Jim Cant <cant_jim@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Jim Cant <cant_jim@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [tssg-tech] description of RSS format - this time with link To: "tssg tech" <tssg-tech@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>, TSSG-Chelmsford@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Thursday, September 23, 2010, 3:39 PM I found this a helpful and concise description of the RSS standard.
