Does anyone know how to delete a submitted record on Ode Central? It's still
pending but I can't find a delete option anywhere.

Odonata Central appears to be one of the least user friendly sites I've dealt
with in many years.

Subject: [tn-dragonflies] Tennessee counties needing dragonfly records

Hello Tennessee Odonate fans! I'm glad to see all the traffic on this new
listserve. I'd say we've certainly needed one for dragons.
I haven't had anything to post here yet as I have not had an opportunity to get
out and look for local dragons, or butterflies, or even birds, because of
travels to faraway places. Hopefully this weekend I can find some time to get
out and maybe find a new county record or two.

The reason for this post is to make everyone aware that I have put together
lists of dragonflies that are on the Tennessee state list but have NOT yet been
recorded in the counties of the state. You can access these lists here:
http://avianpursuits.com/Dragonflies_Main.html
The lists make it easy for you to see which species you should go look
for...photograph...and submit to Odonata Central
(http://www.odonatacentral.org/) so that we can have a better picture of what
species are found in the state.

Another site that should be of interest to each of us is Bugguide:
http://bugguide.net
This site is useful for helping you get identification of any insects you may
photograph. Additionally, it offers the opportunity to add information about
the times of the year that insects are found in each county. Odonata Central
simply lists dragons that have been found at least once in each region. At
Bugguide you can check to see if a species has been reported in the month you
find it. If not, you can add it.

I hope everyone will try to take the time to add records to both of these great
web sites!

PS There will be a BioBlitz at Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge in east Knox
County from 2 p.m. Friday, May 28 through 2p.m. Saturda, May 29. Come on out
and help identify species of any animals and plants to the Refuge list! Let me
know if you are interested and I will get you on the email list.

Thanks,
David
